What We Believe
This statement of fundamental truths serves as our basis of fellowship and full-gospel ministry. The truth set forth is held to be essential — covering our need as to these foundational doctrines. (1 Corinthians 1:10 · Acts 2:42)
The Holy Scriptures
WE BELIEVE... The Scriptures are Inspired by God and declare His design and plan for mankind.
The Bible is our all-sufficient rule for faith and practice. The Scriptures, both the Old and New Testaments, are verbally inspired of God and are the revelation of God to man, the infallible, authoritative rule of faith and conduct.
2 Timothy 3:15–17 · 1 Thessalonians 2:13 · 2 Peter 1:21
The One True God
WE BELIEVE... There is only One True God — revealed in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
The one true God has revealed Himself as the eternally self-existent “I AM,” the Creator of heaven and earth and the Redeemer of mankind, embodying the principles of relationship as Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
Deuteronomy 6:4 · Isaiah 43:10–11 · John 14:10 · Luke 3:22 · Isaiah 9:6
The Deity of Jesus Christ
WE BELIEVE... In the Deity of the Lord Jesus Christ. As God's Son, Jesus was both human and divine.
The Lord Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God — born of a virgin, sinless in life, mighty in miracles, who died on the cross for our sins, rose bodily from the dead, and is now exalted at the right hand of God.
Matthew 1:23 · Hebrews 7:26 · 1 Corinthians 15:3–4 · Acts 2:33 · Philippians 2:9–11
The Fall of Man
WE BELIEVE... Though originally good, Man Willingly Fell to Sin — ushering evil and death into the world.
Man was created good and upright in God's image. However, by voluntary transgression man fell and incurred not only physical death but also spiritual death — separation from God.
Genesis 1:26–27 · Genesis 3:6 · Romans 5:12–19
Salvation
WE BELIEVE... Every Person Can Have Restored Fellowship with God Through Salvation — trusting Christ as personal Savior.
Man's only hope of redemption is through the shed blood of Jesus Christ. Salvation is received through repentance toward God and faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, by which man becomes an heir of God according to the hope of eternal life.
John 3:3 · Romans 10:13–15 · Ephesians 2:8 · Titus 3:5–7
Water Baptism & Holy Communion
WE BELIEVE... We practice two ordinances: Water Baptism by Immersion and Holy Communion.
Baptism by immersion declares to the world that believers have died with Christ and been raised with Him to walk in newness of life. Holy Communion is a symbol of our sharing in Christ's divine nature — a memorial of His suffering, death, and a prophecy of His return.
Acts 2:38 · Mark 16:16 · Romans 6:4 · 1 Corinthians 11:26
Baptism in the Holy Spirit
WE BELIEVE... The Baptism in the Holy Spirit is a Special Experience Following Salvation that empowers believers for witnessing and effective service.
All believers are entitled to and should earnestly seek the promise of the Father — the baptism in the Holy Spirit and fire. This was the normal experience of all in the early Church, bringing the enduement of power for life, service, and the gifts of the Spirit.
Luke 24:49 · Acts 1:4,8 · 1 Corinthians 12:1–31
Evidence of the Holy Spirit
WE BELIEVE... The Initial Physical Evidence of the Baptism in the Holy Spirit is Speaking in Tongues.
The baptism of believers in the Holy Spirit is witnessed by the initial physical sign of speaking with other tongues as the Spirit of God gives utterance, as experienced on the Day of Pentecost and throughout the book of Acts.
Acts 2:4 · 1 Corinthians 12:4–10,28
Sanctification
WE BELIEVE... Sanctification is both a declaration that a believer is holy and a progressive lifelong process of drawing closer to God.
Sanctification is an act of separation from evil and dedication unto God. By the power of the Holy Spirit we obey the command: "Be ye holy, for I am holy." It is realized by recognizing our identification with Christ in His death and resurrection.
Romans 12:1–2 · 1 Thessalonians 5:23 · Hebrews 12:14 · 1 Peter 1:15–16
The Church
WE BELIEVE... The Church has a Mission to seek and save all who are lost in sin.
The Church is the Body of Christ — the habitation of God through the Spirit. Each believer born of the Spirit is an integral part of the Assembly of the Firstborn. The Church is called to evangelize the world, worship God, build up believers, and meet human need with love and compassion.
Ephesians 1:22–23 · Ephesians 2:22 · Mark 16:15–20 · Ephesians 4:11–16
Divine Healing
WE BELIEVE... Divine Healing of the Sick is a Privilege for Christians Today, provided for in Christ's atonement.
Divine healing is an integral part of the gospel. Deliverance from sickness is provided for in the atonement and is the privilege of all believers. God heals bodies, minds, and spirits through prayer and faith in His name.
Isaiah 53:4–5 · Matthew 8:16–17 · James 5:14–16
The Blessed Hope
WE BELIEVE... Jesus will Rapture His Church prior to His Return to Earth.
The resurrection of those who have fallen asleep in Christ and their translation together with those who are alive at the coming of the Lord is the imminent and blessed hope of the Church. Jesus is coming again to gather all His saints to Heaven.
1 Corinthians 15:51–52 · 1 Thessalonians 4:16–17 · Titus 2:13
The Millennial Reign & End Times
WE BELIEVE... Jesus Christ will come again to reign on earth and to reward God's people forever.
The Second Coming of our Lord Jesus Christ with His Saints from Heaven to rule and reign for one thousand years on earth as the Scriptures promised. After this, there shall be a new heaven and a new earth. Those who have not accepted Christ will suffer eternal separation from God.
Revelation 19:11–16 · Revelation 20:1–7 · Revelation 21 · Romans 11:25–27
Government & Society
WE BELIEVE... Christians have a duty to honor and pray for those in government authority.
We believe Christians are called to honor those in authority, pay taxes, and help promote the general welfare of society — being salt and light in every sphere of life.
Romans 13:1–7
